- On new tanks paint should be applied in a room that has no sunlight. An over-head safety light is best used while applying the paint.
- Paint must be applied with a sponge, do not use any paint brush with metal bands or any thing that has metal on it.
- The tanks inner surface must be thoroughly dry before applying the paint.
- Always use plastic gloves as the stains on skin produced by the paint will last for weeks.

The water will appear yellow in color until you rinse the excess of paint off the walls. Repeat rinsing until water flows clearly. If you use the rinse water to wash clothes or anything else before you get a clear rinse, it will permanently remain stained, but drinking it is safe.
